Washing clothes is a chore; normally attached with females. But I am blessed that I never have to do this at my home. My office hours keep me busy throughout the day and it is quite late when I reach back at home. So it is not always possible me to complete every chore of my home. So when I read this activity on Blogadda, I enrolled myself in it for my dad. As he is the person who has been doing it for so many years and continues to do now. I wanted to share a message with my readers that, housework is not just a ‘woman’s job.’ If the male members of the family help women, it is only going to strengthen the bond and ease the burden from their shoulders.

“I am participating in the   #SoundOfLove   activity at BlogAdda   in association with   Bluestone ”.   “This is too common, yaar,” Siya said. “But these are the normal things people do on Valentine’s Day”, Ruhi demanded. “No bud. I want something else.” “Pheww… Siya, you and your weird ideas. If this is the problem then you plan something of your own.” “Yes. I will.” ******

Note:  “This post is a part of  #UseYourAnd  activity at  BlogAdda  in association with  Gillette Venus “. “Get married”, my aunt said. “No. I do not want to”, I said firmly. The discussion was called off. Asking an 18 year old to get married just because “society says so” was not a reason acceptable by any on us. Us, being my parents, my brother, and me. Being born in a Sindhi family, my primary job was to get married. No one and nobody thought beyond that. However, I am rather lucky that my parents are unconventional Sindhi’s who value studies and let me do whatever I want. They valued my independence, choice and knew that I can be much more than just someone’s wife . As years came, so came struggles and challenges. And, I overcame them without compromising.
