Book Review: Mid-Career Crisis
Author Name: Partha Sarathi Basu
Publication Name: Collins Business
Mid-Career Crisis – a tough situation to be in. It is a
phase, which slowly ventures into our life and makes it complicated for us.
Partha Sarathi Basu’s book, ‘Mid-Career Crisis’, is an answer to all those
complications.
As you read it on, you get engrossed and feel that bits
and pieces fo your life has been woven in a different form. I felt so. When I was
reading this book, I can safely say that I was going through my mid-career
crisis, a bit too early. You know the time when you have given everything to
your job and it cannot get better or worse; in some cases. That is the
mid-career crisis for you.
Basu patiently deals with various things, situations, or
hopes, which generates this phase. And if you believe or not, you are bound to
feel it. Then what? This book exactly tells you how to overcome your crisis and
shine like a star. If had not been this book, I would have too carried out
mundane routine.
The best parts are the lovely stories. Every part/chapter
comes with story of real life people. Yes, it amalgamation of real life
struggles with reasons that bring you to a halt. This book is helpful read. Moreover,
the simple and precise writing style does the trick. I would definitely recommend
it to everyone!
An excellent review Nikita and mid-life crisis can gnaws us to death.
